{miss amy makes things} tiny tassel garland

i learned awhile ago how to make tassel garland using this technique. i had some extra silver tissue paper laying around at my desk at work from our christmas decorations and it was just begging to be used. they were scraps, so i eyeballed it and made a tinier version than the instructions.

don’t be intimidated to try it – it’s super easy! if it’s your first time though, i definitely suggest starting out with regular tissue paper – not the shiny stuff – it’s much easier to work with. but once you get the hang of it, the shiny stuff is a breeze! i also find it to be more forgiving once it’s all finished because it’s so loosey-goosey; regular tissue paper takes a bit of fluffing and shaking to get the desired effect.

also, since i just did this on my break at work, i stapled the loops of the tassels so they would stay put. if you’re at home and have access to a glue gun, just add a little drop to hold the shape of the loop. then add it to some pretty string (or my go-to: twine!), hang with washi tape and voila!
